Anima Christi (Soul of Christ) Eucharistic Prayer Latin – English Tutorial

This profound prayer was a favorite of St. Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556) and has been used by many Saints since at least 1334 A.D, especially after Holy Communion. It carries a partial indulgence. Here is the original Latin text lined up with the English translation (in the video) and an audio pronunciation guidance. God bless!

Anima Christi, sanctifica me.
Corpus Christi, salva me.
Sanguis Christi, inebria me.
Aqua lateris Christi, lava me.
Passio Christi, conforta me.
O bone Jesu, exaudi me.
Intra tua vulnera absconde me.
Ne permittas me separari a Te.
Ab hoste maligno defende me.
In hora mortis meæ voca me.
Et jube me venire ad Te,
Ut cum Sanctis tuis laudem Te
in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.
