No matter where we live, we can all gain something from these mottos. In honor of the heroes who serve to protect the innocent (honored on Armed Forces Day, 3rd Sat of May) and those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and well-being of others, serving their country in the United States Armed Forces (whom we honor on Memorial Day, the last Monday of May, Our Lady’s month), here are the Latin Mottos of the Branches of the Military and a brief treatment of their application to our Catholic spiritual lives. May they all rest in peace. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis; requiescant in pace. Amen.
All mottos and emblems are taken from each Branch and are their property.
